Every year to start off the Christmas season I make my favorite cookie EVER, a Cranberry-Orange Shortbread cookie. When I was creating this recipe I knew I wanted to create a roll out cookie that mimicked the flavors of that cookie but with a little bit of a spicy twist. This cookie is intended to be paired with Royal Icing so the cookie itself is not super sweet. Think more of a tea cake rather than a true sugar cookie. However, as someone who doesn't care for sweets I could eat a whole batch of these straight out of the oven!
