One of my favorite ways to add depth and dimension to my cookies is by adding a plaque to the center of a cookie. Normally to do this I would search for the shape I wanted, break out my projector, project the shape onto the cookie and then trace the shape onto the cookie. After getting frustrated one too many times I decided to create a transfer sheet that I could pull out any time I wanted to add a plaque to a cookie. This way I am not only able to choose from a large variety of shapes but I know they will all be the same size, I can make them ahead of time, and I don't have to get my projector out (which is the best part!).
I have sized each of the shapes to fit in the center on most standard size cookies (3in-4.5in).
Transfers are a great way to speed up the decorating process, prevent craters on small details and create dimension. They are also a great addition to DIY kits.
To use these transfer sheets just print out the included documents, place a piece of cellophane, parchment paper or wax paper over the design and trace over using royal icing. When the transfers are dry use a scribe tool to gently pop the transfers off. You can store your transfers in an air tight container for 3+ months and then use at a later time.
